With a Ph.D. in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology, as well as a graduate certificate in eLearning and Online Teaching, I have a strong background to teach online courses and help develop an online biology program. I have been teaching exclusively online since January 2015.
There are many ways online students can become engaged with biology, but incorporating current science and technology are key elements in online classes. I enjoy reading about advances in science and exploring new tools that can be incorporated into class. Having faculty that are able to lead students through the exploration of science with new technology is critical to developing and maintaining a competitive online program.
